Established in 2017
We opened The Barn Owl Books and Gifts in 2017, following the closure of the previous bookstore/drugstore. I love McCall and couldn't imagine our community without a thriving bookstore - for the locals and our many visitors.
We're a general bookstore with thousands of books for you to browse. We also carry art supplies, puzzles, notebooks, pens, journals, games, notebooks, and so much more. You'll find books - and gifts - here at The Owl that you just don't see elsewhere.

Amy
Amy Cooper is the founder and owner of the Barn Owl Books and Gifts. She and her husband Mike co-own the store, though Mike stays more than busy with his own career! Amy's favorite genres include memoirs, historical fiction and history.
Christa
Christa is the Owl's assistant manager, having joined the team in the winter of 2022. Christa grew up in McCall and is happy to be part of such an asset to this area. She enjoys reading (of course) hiking with her dog and quilting. Christa is the creative force behind displays and events.
Megan
Megan has called McCall home for more than 10 years and shares her home with her dog Bella, and cat Raffles. She enjoys spending time outdoors, usually skiing or hiking. Her favorite genres are mystery, fantasy and thrillers. She's excited to be part of the
Barn Owl Books team!
Bethany
Bethany joined the Barn Owl team in 2024. She enjoys reading, gardening, baking, and spending time with her family on outdoor adventures. Bethany's favorite genres include historical fiction, children's and young adult books.
