Are you open year-round?

Yes! We are opening all year, Tuesday through Saturday. And we're open on Sundays during the summer months and winter holidays.

Do you have a bookstore cat?

We do! The lovely Indie is our full-time bookstore cat. She even has her own page on this website. Go check it out!

Can I order books from you and have them shipped to me?

Not currently, but Bookshop.org ships directly to you. You can order the books and love and have them sent directly to your door. See our "Shopping" page for more information.

You're a bookstore. Why do you carry so many other items?

We like to meet the needs of folks in our small mountain town. That means carrying art supplies, toys, stationary, and lots of fun gift items.

Why doesn't Indie have her own Instagram page?

Indie can't really be bothered with the fame of Instagram right now. Maybe one day, but for now she's okay with the occasional glamour shot going on Facebook.

What is an indie bookstore?

An independent bookstore is one that's independently owned and operated. There is no bigger company that we answer to or rely on. We get to stock all the titles we love, craft our selection to our unique clientele and support local authors by carrying their books as well.

Do you have a Loyalty Program?

Yes! We call it our Book Rewards Program. When you buy $100 worth of regularly priced books in store, you receive $10 your next book purchase. All we need is your name and number. Points never expire, and they roll over year to year.

Do you host events at the store?

We host author book readings and signings throughout the year, as well as Santa Paws (your pet's photo with Santa Claus) in partnership with MCPAWS Regional Animal Shelter, in the winter.
